During these four evenings, we will work together to create a new AI-based political party for Linz. We will draft the party statutes, develop a local program, discuss the kinds of candidates that might be needed, and plan how the party will present itself to the public. Our main focus will be on setting clear procedures, making rules transparent, and defining the role and limits of AI in political decision-making.
AI will be part of the process by suggesting wording, organizing texts, and being carefully reviewed. Together, we will build a practical structure for the party, which will be officially founded in April 2026 and presented to the public in June 2026. The aim is to create a structure that could appear on a Linz ballot in 2027. Everyone interested is welcome to join. Admission is free.
Day 1 – Tuesday, 3 March 2026: Constituting the party; decision and election procedures; liquid democracy
We begin with check-in and welcome, set the formal framework (delegates/press, chairing the day), hold and discuss a keynote (“Why an AI Party in Linz?”), and introduce liquid-democracy approaches. We close by adopting the first rules for decision-making: voting, minutes, online or offline.
Day 2 – Wednesday, 4 March 2026: Party statutes and programme
We draft the programme in clear sentences: goals, structure, thematic blocks, language, and differentiation from other Linz parties. We then review interface options: how to interact with the AI Party, what is technically realistic, and whether a lead-candidate model makes sense. The day ends with a vote on “Programme Linz 2026”.
Day 3 – Thursday, 5 March 2026: Solidarity, common good, and the city
With brief greetings and a framing speech, we introduce the theme of solidarity in AI conditions. In two workshop phases, we identify problems, gaps, and priorities and translate them into measures and plain-language text. We then adopt the programme section “Solidarity & urban society”.
Day 4 – Friday, 6 March 2026: Strategy and capacity to act
We consolidate the decisions and plan the steps for April and June: public presence, resources, timeline, design (visual identity, logo, slogans), and responsibilities across working groups. We close by confirming an annual plan and team and setting a symbolic ending.
