In a world increasingly managed digitally, smart machines infiltrate our life-world ever more deeply. Users slide through dazzling filter bubbles, gently guided through Big Data’s assistance. Yet those smart machines are not desire’s vicarious agents, but instruments of power. What are the politics of digital machines? And how is it possible to escape being governed? With Anna-Verena Nosthoff (political theorist, Berlin), Felix Maschewski (literary scientist and economist, Berlin) and Dr. Axel Stockburger (artist and theorist, Vienna). The performative and philosophical discourse format Future Now! asks for daring escapes and options in times of a proclaimed lack of alternatives. The discussion is in german language and moderated by Johannes Siegmund. This event is organised in cooperation with Depot – Raum für Kunst und Diskussion (Breitegasse 3, 1070 Wien).
