Whispering Mimicry is a search for onomatopoeia (onomatopoeia) in cinematic form. For cinematic imitations of other, non-human languages that surround us. A quiet attempt to make the languages of others audible, to articulate oneself in them. Thus, these films are about making contact between companions (in Donna Haraway's sense) - between humans, animals, plants, stones, earth, and others. These are films that mirror, reverberate, resonate, wait, spin on - and above all, search for common languages beyond the alphabet. Conceived and curated by Katharina Swoboda and Marlies Pöschl (Golden Pixel Cooperative).
