The exhibition Carrara Corso brings together works by Inga Hehn and Stefan Brandmayr in which the fields of geometry and experiment overlap. In a year-long collaborative process, both developed works informed by a shared interest in controlled coincidence. The starting points are to be found less in a concept, but rather in an interlocking of object-oriented work and content-related discussion.
With his sculptures Stefan Brandmayr questions modes of representation and exposure as well as materiality. Including the construction of masculinity and the analysis of gender roles, his subjects are closely interrelated with basic parameters of contemporary art production.
Inga Hehn’s works result from a consistent examination of points, lines and surfaces. Her corporeal sketches explore every millimeter of surfaces by the means of very fine lines.
