Stefan Brandmayr selects and assembles, he disassembles and orders, he shapes and performs. His approach is always process-oriented: The starting point of his works is not a concept; rather, the haptic work goes hand in hand with an examination of the content. He is guided by questions of representation, staging and their materiality in the production of his sculptures. Stefan Brandmayr studied sculpture at the Linz Art University. In addition to his artistic activities, he is co-operator of the Linz exhibition space EFES 42.
